New Song: STONE
Christopher was recently asked by Producer Steven Berger to write and record a song for the end of the film "On The Outside", a film which Christopher also Executive Produced, and in which he also starred as the lead character, Ethan. When asked in a recent interview about the song, and how in the world he got his voice to sound like it does in the song, he said, "well...it took a whole lot of screaming into a pillow to shred my vocal chords like that! The film is a very gritty human drama, so I wanted to craft a song that was very raw and sparse sounding. I naturally wanted the vocals to fit nicely with the song, the film, and the story that the song was telling. So stylistically, I was intentionally trying to achieve something that sounded more raspy and less refined. The result is STONE. Itís a song about growing up in the bottom echelon of society, told obviously as a parallel to the theoretical life of a skipping stone. Itís about striving your entire life to be different, separate yourself from the pack, break out and get noticed, and how when you finally do get a break, how being noticed makes you a target. A target for suspicion from those above you, and envy and jealousy from those you left behind."
