BIOGRAPHY
As enigmatic as he is talented, Christopher is most often known for his intense dedication to, and meticulous preparation for every role he takes on. He was described recently by one Director as “Great drama on screen, no drama off, Christopher is a rare combination of artistry and professionalism”.
He was born the second of five children, and grew up in the Midwest on a farm in rural Michigan . Both parents worked the farm, and his father also worked for the State Social Services Dept. to help make ends meet, after his service in the US Air Force. A passionate and driven artist, Christopher started out musically at the age of 5 on the piano, and by the age of 8 was considered a highly gifted musician and vocalist. He continued to study and perform while growing up, fronting and touring with several successful music groups, and landing leading roles in musical theatre productions such as Carousel and Guys & Dolls. Recently, Christopher was selected by Grammy Award winner Lee Ann Womack as a winning singer / songwriter in the Global Continental Music Competition for his song "Think Again".
Christopher graduated from Hope College , a private Liberal Arts university in Holland , MI , with a double major in Biology and Business Administration. Soon after, he fled to New York City to pursue his theatrical and musical ambitions. He took a job as a Stock Broker Trainee in the mean time to pay the bills, and oddly enough, became one of the more successful brokers at the Manhattan firm within a couple years, making a small fortune at a young age. However, his Wall Street success was the antithesis of his core being, and it left him completely unfulfilled. As fate would have it, shortly thereafter he lost everything he'd ever made, and more. Having grown up poor, he had now come full circle.
With a renewed focus on what had always brought him real fulfillment, Christopher poured himself back into his love for the arts. He spent a couple years in the active indie film scene in Austin , TX where his career as a film actor first began with roles in a variety of independent films, while also studying at the prestigious Paramount State Theatre School of Performing Arts, under Award-winning Directors / Actors Gabriel Folse, Babs George , and others. More recently after moving to Los Angeles Christopher continued his studies through the accelerated conservatory style Stanislavski based program at the Howard Fine Theatre, Larry Moss Studios / Edgemar Center for the Performing Arts, and studying Improv at the renowned Groundlings Theatre and Second City, to mention just a few. He is also an active Screenwriter, with several projects in the works. Recently, Christopher has been seen on the Hit TV Series “Dirty Sexy Money”, and has starred in several independent films including the online cult hit "Bright Falls", and “Fixing Rhonda” also starring John Aniston.
When he’s not acting, writing, or composing, you can find Christopher at the beach boogie boarding, attempting to surf, reading a good book, or hiking in the Malibu & Santa Monica Mountains . He is also an active volunteer for St. Liz Hospice of Los Angeles .
