Snake Pit (in which Chris plays one of the lead roles) an official selection of the Visceral Film Festival:

Snake Pit is an official selection for Viscera Film Fest. It has also been selected to be part of a compilation DVD called Viscera 2007, which includes footage from the best films of the festival.

Lead role in the film "Nadine Scott":

Chris has been cast in the lead role of Victor in the upcoming film "Nadine Scott", by Los Angeles based Writer / Director Tawan Bazemore. The picture will be lensed in the latter part of 2008 in Los Angeles CA. "Nadine Scott" is a psychological thriller, in which Victor, an alleged serial killer, seems to have committed the perfect crime. He wants to be interviewed, he wants the interview published, and he intends to be portrayed as an innocent martyr. He wants the interview to be conducted by a specific journalist, Nadine Scott, who skewered him in her column throughout his previous murder trial during which he was acquitted. So he murders her husband in his own home, and lures her to his home where he holds her captive, and demands that she interview him while her husband's dead body lie between them, or she will face his same fate. In a series of heart pounding, unexpected twists, things don't work out exactly as he had planned. Who will emerge alive?

Lead role in the film "Rewind":

Chris has signed on to play the lead role of David in the upcoming film "Rewind" to be directed by OA Yuvarnavandhana. Filming will take place this spring in Los Angeles CA. David has the unusual ability to rewind and relive time, but his ability is limited to only the time that he is awake, so he cannot go back any further than when his day started. He can start and live his day a million different ways, but he cannot change when it starts. When his beloved wife dies after being hit by a car while riding her bike to work in the morning, David is unable to fathom the idea of life without her, and rewinds time to the beginning of the day in order to try and help her avoid the same fate. The problem is he cannot awake any earlier, and thus cannot find a way to get to her before the accident happens. As a result, he finds himself stuck in an endless cycle of rewinding and attempting everything possible to change her fate. Will he figure out a way, or will he be forced to accept that he cannot change fate?

Lead role in the film "Substance":

Chris has signed on to play the lead role of Steven in the upcoming film "Substance" to be directed by Tawan Bazemore. Filming will take place this fall in Los Angeles CA. Steven's wife Mildred, unable to bear children and feeling deliquent as a wife, decended deeper and deeper into the abyss of drug addiction over the past 5 years, to the extent that she became virtually unrecognizeable to Steven, and finally had to be comitted to an institution to get help. That was 2 months ago, and they havent' been able to talk since then. The only thing Steven knows, is that she went through one of the most horrible withdrawls that they have ever seen. Today she called, to tell her husband that the woman he'd been living with for the past 5 years is dead, and she wants to start over. Can things go back to the way they were?

Real Insurance, an Australian insurance company, is currently producing a new Advertising Campaign including a series of Commercial spots, one of which will feature Forsyth. Filming took place in June, and the spot is slated to begin airing in Australia later this year.

Chris has been cast in the lead role for the film "The Bayou":

Chris has been cast as Maurice, the lead character in "The Bayou", a new movie in development by Los Angeles writer / director Jared Fine. "The Bayou" is an epic tale of innocence, love, betrayal, and sacrifice. A period fantasy piece, the film is set deep in the enchanted bayous of the Antebellum South in the 1830's. It is here that two children, Maurice and Rosie, grow up in the shadow of a sinister presence which will stop at nothing to keep them apart and destroy their love. As a young boy, Maurice makes a promise to marry Rosie, the mayor’s daughter and his closest companion. One night during his childhood, a frightening encounter with a strange character in the Bayou sets him on a path that will eventually bring him to a crossroads between Rosie and the Devil himself. As the daughter of the town mayor, Rosie is being married off to a man she doesn’t know. Yet long ago she swore her hand to Maurice, her childhood companion. When she puts his love to the test she sets into motion a dire string of events that threaten all. Playing on his deepest fears and doubts, the Devil pushes Maurice to the point of betrayal, and in the end Maurice is forced into a situation where he must either make the ultimate sacrifice or find another way out.

Chris has been cast as Series Regular Brian Wellington in a new TV pilot titled "Off The Boat", in development by Jacob Boker & Karem Abulhusn (both at Paramount Pictures).

Chris has been cast to play one of the Series Regular characters, Brian Wellington, in a new half hour comedy TV pilot called "Off The Boat", in development by writers Jacob Boker and Karem Abulhusn, both Paramount Pictures employees. "Off The Boat" is about an upper-class, eccentric dysfunctional family living in Greenwich, Connecticut. One day, Richie and his fiance Kelly return from an African safari with an African, Adi. The only problem is that Richie's two children Sarah and Danny, his free-loading brother Brian, and his perverted father, Grandpa Mitch, all live in the same house.

Brian Wellington, the part to be played by Forsyth, is Richie's good-looking, smooth-talking, free-loading brother. He came to visit his brother 5 months ago, but still hasn't left. Brian enjoys the "finer things in life" without actually having to work for them. Production is slated to commence in 2007.

Chris Forsyth selected by Grammy Award winner Lee Ann Womack as a winning songwriter in the 2006 Continental Music Showcase Competition:

In early 2006, Continental Airlines announced the details of their 2006 Worldwide Music Showcase Competition. Initial entrants were narrowed down by a panel of judges, and the finalists were then forwarded to Grammy Award winner Lee Ann Womack. From there, Womack selected from among the finalists, the 25 winners, who among other things, will have their music aired on Continental Airlines flights throughout the next year. Among the 25 winners selected by Lee Ann Womack was Chris Forsyth, with his first single release, "Think Again".

Chris will play Commander Nallion in "Rain Rain":

Chris has been cast in the part of Commander Nallion in "Rain Rain", a new film in production by Los Angeles based writer / director Matt Brown. "Rain Rain" is a farcical story about what can happen when a hero's daughter is left at home alone with only her curiosity to keep her company, while her daddy (Forsyth) is off saving the world. Curious and alone, she eventually finds her way into daddy's office, where she is normally forbidden to go, and happens upon one of daddy's Ray Guns. Chaos ensues!

Chris has signed on for theatrical representation with AKA Talent Agency. AKA has long been known as one of LA's top powerhouse commercial agencies, and with the opening of their theatrical division just under a decade ago, they are quickly establishing themselves as a powerful presence in theatrical representation also. "I met with a variety of well known and respected agencies, some very large, and some more specialized. Of course you have to look at the entire package and how it fits your personal career path and objectives, but assuming the rest is in place, for me its about relationships more than anything else." said Forsyth. "You have to go with your gut, and in that respect this process became much easier after meeting with agents at AKA. It was simply a great all around fit, on both a business and a personal level".

Nellie Sciutto:
Chris will play the role of Jonathan in "Fixing Rhonda", a new feature film in development, by Los Angeles based writer Lizzie Maxwell. Based on a true story, "Fixing Rhonda" is a dark and gritty tale detailing one woman's battle with a gambling addiction. Supporting her addiction leads her on a downward spiral into prostitution, alcohol, and drugs, and eventually her own demise. Lily, Rhonda's best friend, has met the perfect guy in Jonathan, but is so obsessed with fixing Rhonda that she is inadvertently letting the love of a lifetime slip away. Even after Rhonda's death, she becomes obsessed with solving Rhonda's murder, putting even more strain on her potential relationship with Jonathan. But in the end, love endures.

Chris has been cast as Pride, the lead character in “Sins”, a new movie by Los Angeles based writer / director Joshua Schwartz. Pride is the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins; the gothic, post matrix, ideal. Young and confident, he leads the Seven Sins with an iron fist and a silver tongue. A dramedy with an ending that will leave you begging for more, Sins is a sexy, intense and surprisingly funny film. The film is set to begin production in late June in Ventura CA .

Chris re-locates to Los Angeles :
After flying back and forth to Los Angeles almost weekly for auditions and other film related work for the past several months as opportunities have begun to present themselves there more frequently, Chris has decided to permanently relocate to Los Angeles.

Chris Forsyth In The Studio To Begin Work On First Solo Album:
After a lengthy hiatus from the music scene as a lead singer and musician, Forsyth has entered the studio and turned his music and songwriting efforts toward his first solo project ever. “I always wanted to be more involved in a hands-on way in the production of my music, so I have used the time away to immerse myself in a rigorous course of study at RID (Recording Institute of Detroit) and other institutions to become more proficient as a sound production / mixing engineer. Armed with that knowledge now, I am really turning my musical efforts towards two things; the production of my first solo album, and the composition of instrumental and background tracks for film and TV scoring. The album will allow me to really showcase my personal songwriting efforts for the first time, and the instrumental and scoring efforts will use more of my classical training.” While there is no concrete date set for the album’s release, Chris has stated that he hopes to release it in 2008.

Chris has been cast as David, one of the two lead characters in “Fairy Fort”, a new movie by Los Angeles based independent Writer / Director Laurie Powers. The movie is a gripping and suspenseful tale of stolen souls and lost love, based on Irish folklore pertaining to the evil spirits which were responsible for taking the souls of mortals. Production is set to begin in the second quarter of 2006 in Manor, TX .

Chris has been cast as Jean, the lead character in a touching new film by Austin TX based Writer / Director Sun Hee Cho. “[Jean] = Truth ” is the heart-wrenching story of an unspoken love between two strangers which, due to near misses and misunderstood intentions, isn’t communicated until its too late. Or is it too late? The film is slated to begin production early in 2006 in Austin TX.

Chris, along with co-founders Derek Israel and Davis Tucker has formed AFAC, the Austin Film Actors Collaborative. AFAC was formed to facilitate the ability for some of the city’s top talent to get together and collaboratively assemble efforts towards future theatre and film productions.

Intersection tells the tragic tale of what goes on behind closed doors and white picket fences in everyday suburban America . Things aren’t as pretty on the inside as they might seem from the outside. Production is slated to begin in the last quarter of 2005.

Chris Cast as lead in the film “Snake Pit”:
Chris has been cast as Dan, one of the lead characters in a new horror movie by Co-Writers / Directors Brandy Rainey and Kris Phipps. Dan is the strapping young guy that the girls can’t help but fall for, and the guy you definitely want to take home to Mom. But there is a serial killer on the loose in the area, and several of the towns young beautiful girls have gone missing. When the car breaks down on a deserted back dirt road, Dan, his new girlfriend, and her best friend go walking for help, but despite their dire situation, they know they are safe with him…..or are they? Production of the film is slated to begin in the third quarter of this year.
